Cellulose acetate – Based mixed matrix membrane for methylene blue wastewater treatment

چکیده

The industrial advancement in the textile industry has caused negative environmental impacts because of large amount dye wastewater effluent. treatment can be conducted using adsorption, biological treatment, and flocculation-coagulation processes. However, all these methods involve chemical additions, which may increase operational cost process. To overcome this problem, membrane separation technique been widely used to treat wastewater. Cellulose acetate-based membranes particular are attractive they have a relatively high percentage for rejection. flux still needs improved as volumetric flow rate from industries is very high. In recent years, incorporation inorganic fillers inside polymer matrix mixed (MMMs) attracts many researchers investigate their potential gas water treatment. This research studied synthesis cellulose MMMs methylene blue, cationic commonly found ZIF-8 TiO2 were investigated MMMs. From experiments, it was that exhibited better dispersion rejection than particles matrix. hydrophilic TiO2-containing could produce 260 LMH, higher pure polymeric ZIF-8-based

Pebax-Modified Cellulose Acetate Membrane for CO2/N2 Separation

Carbon dioxide (CO2) release from the exhaust gas streams of power plants that burn fossil fuels contributes the most emission of this gas, which includes more than half of the greenhouse effects. Thus, the separation of CO2 from exhaust gases is one of the main environmental concerns. Membrane technology, due to many advantages, has attracted many research attentions among the various gas sepa...
